The No. 18 University of Denver gymnastics squad opens its 2012 home schedule after a grueling three-meet road trip against squads in the nation’s top 25. The Pioneers will host Air Force and Centenary College on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium.
Saturday’s meet will be streamed live on Pioneer Vision.
“We are thrilled to get to compete in front of our home crowd for the first time this season,” head coach Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart says. “This meet provides a great chance to see the two Division I gymnastics programs in the state of Colorado.”
The Pioneers are 84-4 all-time against Air Force and 6-5 all-time against Centenary.
Sophomore Melodie Pulgarin Linero (Barcelona, Spain) won the Pioneers’ first event of the season Jan. 20 at No. 22 Missouri, winning the All-Around with a 38.900.
